Find Projects

To browse projects:

  • 1. On the Find Project page, type in what you're looking for, select a category and project status, then click the Search button.

  • 2. You can browse all projects by Category.
  • 3. You can use the Taskcity RSS feature to receive daily feeds on projects based on your specified tags or keywords.
  • 4. When you find a project that interests you, Taskcity recommends that you review the buyer's Taskcity project history.

Place Bid on Projects

  • 1. Click on the project title.
  • Find_expert
  • 2. Complete the bid proposal form on the right hand side, including your amount. If you have any confidential information or questions you want to share with the buyer, be sure to enter that information into the Project Message.

  • 3. Optionally, you can click Upload Attachments to upload a more detailed proposal in a separate document.
  • 4. Click Bid to proceed.
  • 5. Review your proposal, then click Submit.
  • 6. Once you submit your proposal, you can view the project on your My City page, by filtering on the status Bidding Open link on your left panel. This link will shows all the projects for which you have placed a bid, where the bidding period is still open.
  • 7. Project buyers may also invite you to bid on their projects. When this happens, you will receive both message and email notification that you have been invited to bid.

Cooperation and Communication

  • 1. After you submit your bid proposal, the buyer may contact you via the Project Message Board to discuss the project in more detail. When this happens, you will receive an email notification.
  • 2. You can enter Project Message Board, and reply message.
  • 3. If the buyer selects your bid proposal and send you the Work Plan, you will receive both message and email notification that you have been selected.
  • 4. Review the Work Plan include, terms, project milestones and agreements on the Work Plan page. If you accept the work plan as outlined on this page, click the Confirm.
  • 5. Once you have accepted the Work Plan, you can contact the buyer directly to discuss the project before beginning work.

Project Management

Once you have signed the Work Plan, you may contact the buyer directly to discuss the requirements and manage the project in useing any of the project management tools:

  • Files
  • Work Log
  • Writeboards
  • Tasks
  • Members
  • Statistics
  • Manage_tool

Get Paid

  • Escrow
  • 1. On the Project Payments page, you will see a list of milestones, amounts and the funding and release status of each milestone under the Escrow & Release section. Click the Request Escrow button under the Escrow column.
  • 2. The buyer will receive both message and email notification requesting the funding of the specified milestone. When the buyer funds the milestone, the Escrow column will change to reflect the date it was funded.
  • 3. After the buyer has funded a milestone, you can request release of that milestone amount once you have completed the work. On the Project Payments page, click on the Request Release button.
  • 4. When buyer release milestone amount to you, Taskcity deducts 0.0% from each payment to cover its Taskcity Service Fee, transferring the remaining amount directly to the your Taskcity account.

  • 5. If the buyer does not respond to your release request, contact them through the Project Messages. If they do not respond to the Project Messages, click on the Project Arbitration link at the left panel.
