Description


We need to create a 2d board game iPad application with multi player hotseat, single player vs AI and online through the + network with the ability to include the Apple Game Center network when that is rolled out later this year. iPhone compatible universal binary is prefered but not required if it would detract from the quality of the iPad game.

The game engine will need to be re usable to create other 2d board game and table top game translatons. Which will be done preferably with the same development team going forward.

The initial game and game engine should have the following features:

Each game will be set in a different time period with unit types, terrain and attack/defense types appropriate to the genre. I think a fantasy game and a space ship combat game would be the best first games for the engine. If licensing is approved we will be able to use the rules and art assests created by the origional IP holder to reduce cost and time needed for art asset creation.

The game would be played in a turn based i go, you go format.
Each game turn would be broken down into a deployment, movement, attack and special ability ( magic ect...) phase.
Winning the game would be based off of either scenario objectives or destroying more of the opponents pieces before the game turn limit expires.
Players would be given access to all the basic units and factions of the game initially with the ability to buy special game units, pieces and abilities through in app purchases
Each one off game would be based on a set number of points allowing the player to choose his army/force from the units they posses up to a point limit.

Achievements for Apple Game Center should be included for both single player and multi player modes.
AI is an area I am not honestly familliar with but the goal would be to provide a challenging game for each player.

Art assests would be needed for the first game as well, we would need an art asset for the actual game pieces, game board, characters, and unit detail cards.
