Looking for a simple example of an RTD server written in C# that utilizes reg free COM so that deployment is just copying files.<br/>RTD stands for "Real Time Data" -- it is a COM technology that enables Excel spreadsheets to receive real-time updates.<br/>COM components can be written in C#, and COM also supports registration-free deployment (so no need for any registry entries when deploying).&nbsp; I would like a working example of a simple reg free COM RTD server, written in C#, that simply publishes a random number every few seconds.&nbsp; The method can be called "GetRandomNumber" or something similar.<br/>To test the server, I will copy it to a directory on my machine and launch it.&nbsp; I will then open Excel on the same machine and use the RTD formula syntax to call the server.&nbsp; I should see the cell in Excel where I make the call updating every few seconds with a new random number.
