This is a typical case of IE doing its thing: floats gone fishing, containers with weird width, etc.
This is for a blog/magazine layout with a few content areas listing page teasers, a jQuery carousel for top stories. Not the simplest blog layout, but nothing that fancy.
We need a ninja or guru to spend a couple of hours on the ie.css and snap things into place. You must use the word intervention in your cover letter.
