I want to create an app for the iphone (possibly for other like phones) to sell a short story. There are several like apps to sell book or collections of short stories but none to sell a single short story -- at least, that I could find.
As an example of current iphone apps, I'd ask you to look at the 'Twilight' book app or anything by iceberg.

I definately want to include an illustration that can be used as the display for this app and as a mock cover for the short story. I'll also need to send you the actual short story.
I just found a link to a very similar app. The title page is far to simple for my needs but I really like how the pages look inside this app.
The following features:
Control things like font size or color or landscape view verses portrait.
Email a link to this app to friends
The view: I'd like the customer to have the option to view this story in portrait or landscape but not if it will cost any more money to make it available in portrait. If there is no cost invovled, then yes, I could absolutely send this in portrait.
The color issues: The 301 short story apps have page views that look like real book pages, another app, (I think it is called Classics and it is currently in the top 10 book apps) actually has 3D pages so every time you flip through a page, there is animation to look like the page is turning. Would that be an easy/cheap function to add?
I just thought of the music effect but it isn't imoportant, just a way to make the app cooler.
The Flash effect: I definately want to have a neat tap screen color. It might even be nice to add a public domain sound effect of wind blowing. Are there any public domain music sites of classical music I might be able to add to the app and the customer can pick a back ground music or keep the music off. Idealy, the music would default to off but if a customer wanted back ground music, they could choose something.
Also, I’d like to add a copyright page, which I did not send you and a summary of the story and author bio and stuff like that. The copyright page would appear after the splash screen, I take it but the author bio and stuff like that would be for the app display page.

I assume the splash page is that special screen I wrote about with the title and illustration and the “click here to begin reading” message. If so, are you able to animate the splash screen in some way (i.e. a nice dissolve effect or animating the tornado)? I just do not know how much say I will have in the look of this application.
