We're looking to develop an AIR app that will allow us to process, caption and upload images to a drupal website. The App will need to be able to do the following:

1) read JPEG image files from a folder on the local machine
2) cycle through the images, showing a preview and allowing the user to add image information: title, caption, tags, gallery assignment. Specify title strings and tags to be appended to every image in a folder to save retyping. Interact with the remote server to generate a new image gallery if required.
3) resize the image along the longest dimension to a standard size (2000px, no upscaling) and upload the resized file to the remote server in the background, using a file queue to allow captioning to continue. app to display basic upload status, number of files in queue.
4) interact with the remote server via a script and query string to add the image to the site database, and run a rebuild script to generate the image derivatives on the server

We can help with building the remote scripts to log the image uploads etc but we need a developer to work on the desktop part of the app.
