Hey everyone,

I'm looking to develop an iPad application that will contain a collection of specific books and will allow the user to browse through them and read which ever one they would like to.

This application will be similar to that application called FreeBooks (check it out in the app store). But we are targeting a very niche audience, so our books will be much less in number.

Here are the specifications:

1) Have the "page-flipping" effect that is currently in the iBooks application as well as FreeBooks

2) Ability to search for books (by different categories), as well as search the text within a book itself (let me know if this is possible)

3) If the iPad is being held vertical, it should only show one page. If it is held horizontal, it should display as a book (two pages at a time)

4) User should have the ability to send the book as an email to themselves (this is also a function in FreeBooks - the book gets sent as a pdf so they can view on their computers)

5) Copy/Paste a text within a book (lets say they want to share a quote with someone else in an email, they should be able hold the text down with their finger to copy and paste it)

These are the general specifications. You will get a better idea if you check out FreeBooks in the appstore.

Also, please let me know what format the book would need to be in. I am assuming it would have to a PDF.

I will provide you all the design that is necessary for the application. But I would like you to provide me two estimates: One with design included and one without.***
