I’d like to create a site that functions much like Groupon.com. Users will receive an email, visit the site to buy the deal, the deal becomes valid once a certain number of deals are bought. Once the deal is valid, users’ credit cards are charged and users receive an email with a personalized printable voucher or coupon code (for online retailers).
I’d like to use Wordpress as a back-end, but am open to other CMS options.
I’m interested in the project with or without logo & graphics design. Either way, the site should be easily adaptable to outside designers.

Functionality specs of the site:
1. An attractive email template/homepage “ad” that’s easily amended & incorporates text & images
2. Pairs with a third-party email database mgr (i.e. iContact)
3. Individual user accounts – track purchases, store credit card info, manage preferences
4. Ability to sell vouchers on a tipping point model (i.e. no one is charged until minimum number of deals have been bought)
5. Ability to create a “page” for each voucher with text, image and “fine print” – i.e. rules & regulations of the deal
6. After purchase, an email is automatically sent to buyers prompting them to send the deal to a friend
7. Ability to track & display deal progress (i.e. how many people have bought the deal & whether or not it “tipped”)
8. Ability to generate a rotating number of printable vouchers, each with its own code
9. An attractive voucher template that’s easily amended & incorporates text & images
10. Analytics – ability to track & easily display percentage of deals “tipped,” categories, etc
11. Should be built with back-end that’s scalable to other cities & other platforms (i.e. iPad, text messaging, etc)
12. Should be built with ability to tag the deals – users will ultimately be able to subscribe to deals by category
13. Ability to automate the site’s facebook & twitter feeds
14. Ability to allow users to sync their activity on the site to their facebook & twitter pages (i.e. I just bought X – you buy it too)
15. A few other generic pages – about us, contact us, etc

The User Experience:
1. Find out about a deal via email
2. Log onto the site (or create a new account) and buy the deal using a credit card
3. Spread the word by emailing a friend
4. Check the deal status on the site
5. The deal tips: your credit card is charged, you get an email with a personalized printable voucher or discount code
6. The deal doesn’t tip: no charge on your credit card, you get an email telling you the deal didn’t tip & inviting you to complete a survey outlining what kinds of deals you’d like to see
7. Print the voucher, bring to the business & enjoy OR enter the custom code into the business’s website
