I need a C program that reads two sorted text files and produces an index (B-Tree inverted file) according to some very exact specifications I have.

The files will be read by an existing application, so we need to follow the specifications exactly in order to have compatible files.

For further portability, the code should be C (possibly without C++ features) compiling under gcc under Linux and MSDOS
