We at the GroundZero Project (www.groundzeroprojects.com) are recreating our ning based social network for music makers on the wordpress mu platform.



We currently have a feature on our website that allows members to upload music to their profiles. This music is then displayed on our music page for other members to search for, listen to, comment and rate and it is this feature that we need to recreate on wordpress mu.



Here are the key features:



UPLOADING





A member is able to upload any music file to their profile.


They are able to specify whether the file is a single song or a collection of songs (a 30 minute - 1 hour mix)


They are able to select the musical genre of this song or mix from a list of options


They are able to add tags to this file to describe its mood


They are able to add an image and textual description to this musical file


They are able to state whether or not they wish for this file to be available for download by other members


MUSIC PAGE





Members can search for musical files by genre, tags, artist, rating, and also by recently added music


Songs and mixes appear on the page in their own mp3 player


Members can comment and rate these files


Songs and mixes have a count of total plays and ratings


At the bottom of the page there are links to similar music


Members can add songs and mixes to their own playlist


Each song and mix must be embedable into web pages via html
