The purpose of the site is to sell auto parts.

Here’s what I need done. I’ll send the selected programmer pictures simulating the results for a better understanding.

1)  YMM osCommerce contribution is currently installed and filtering the products by  a)Make, b)Model and c)Year. 
 
- I want the filtering to be modified to filter by a)Make, b)Year c) Model . The drop down boxes will have to be showing in that order as well. 
- A string based on the selected filtering criteria must be displayed on each product page like “Fits your 2002 BMW 330Ci”. It has to be conditional. If any of the drop down boxes(3) have not been selected  then the string will not be displayed. Also the first part of the string “Fits your” needs to be referenced in languages. 
- The full string needs to be included in the order confirmation email.

2) I added a field in the customers table. It is displayed on both the both “create account” page and “edit account” page.  I need that field to be displayed in the check out process (“checkout_shipping.php”) for possible updating by the customer.

All modifications must be commented on the files with a searchable word or initials (for example:  // Modified by AJ). Please also provide a list of the files modified



Please note that I’m also open to a different approach than the original YMM contribution for osCommerce. 
The way it is working now is not really optimal. Each part sometimes fits several vehicles. So for each record in the products table there could be anywhere from 5 to 70 records in the YMM table. In my case,  I have 500 parts entered so far and there are 18,000 records on the ymm table. I intend to enter about 20,000 parts so I should end up with over 700,000 records.  Each record contains the make, model, year beginning, year end, a record id, a product id (to link to the products table). I was thinking of something like adding a new table like the products_to_categories in osCommerce and modifying the YMM table to include only the cars once, instead of repeating the same information so many times.
