Hi I am the founder and director of EASTWEST Public Relations.
I have over a decade of experience as a communications consultant, facilitator and entrepreneur in Asia Pacific.
I am based in Beijing and am actively involved in the business community here.

I am a British citizen and a Singapore Permanent resident. I graduated from the University of Manchester with an Honours degree (2:1) in American Studies and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM). With some hesitation I speak French, Spanish and elementary Mandarin, but not simultaneously.
I live with my partner, Wei, and our daughter Amity Huan Huan James.
EASTWEST specialises in communications for B2B clients. Our portfolio includes Blackberry, Inmarsat, Nortel, Promethean and Verimatrix. Since 1995 we have served over 150 clients and have solid network of media connections throughout the region.
At EASTWEST we work to a participative management model. We believe that everyone makes a valuable contribution and it is the purpose of the Agency to create an environment that is creative, supportive and professional to work in.
Our belief is that people work best when they are interested in the subject and have a personal commitment to the client to succeed. In order to align this sense of participation we ask team members select the kind of clients they want to work on, and share in a fully open way the performance of their activity and those of the Agency.
EASTWEST has created scholarships for communications students at the MDIS and Singapore Polytechnic. These are cash grants and are our way of promoting the profession. In 2001 we pioneered this scholarship with the Institute of PR in Singapore.
In 2003 we were involved in the Garden City Fund, working on the subcommittee and acting as the MC for the launch at the Istana in Singapore.
For three years (2000 to 2003) we did pro-bono PR and Jim James was Vice President of Cybercare Kids in Singapore, a project to install computers into 14 children's homes' and teach children how to use the Internet.
In 2004 we volunteered our PR services to the Boys Brigade Sharity Gift Box, an annual event that gathers up gifts for the needy.
In 2006 we established the EASTWEST PR endowment fund under the Wee Kim Wee Legacy Fund to benefit students and faculty from the School of Communication and Information (SCI) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
