I am starting a local daily deal site for the Central PA area (think something similar to Groupon). We will offer a deal that is good for 24 hours at up to 90% off of regular prices. The site is aimed at helping small businesses that have a very small or non-existent advertising budget. Each day will have a theme and we will send emails each evening previewing the deal. The advertisers are rewarded when each deal sells 100 – they then receive a higher percentage of each deal that sells. The customers are also rewarded once a deal reaches 100 sold – they receive an additional $5 off the deal they purchased (each deal is targeted to be $25) so the discount seems worth the effort.
