I am a Sports Event Consultant who has worked across many different sports developing their live major event delivery. The essence of my role is to make the event more compelling, enjoyable, exciting, engaging and memorable for everyone involved: athletes, spectators, sponsors, officials and TV audiences. While we can;t effect outcomes, we can ensure that by the event being creative, innovative and smooth - the experience is not entirely dependent on the sporting result.

I am launching a new company to service major sponsors of sport, sports governing bodies (FA, UEFA, RFU and smaller), bidding host cities and professional clubs. the is no logo yet, no Corp Ident and no strapline.

The web site i need must look clean, engaging and professional and have movement, great images and express the power of live sports events. The look should be very easy to navigate, and my plan is to keep text to the bare minimum where possible.

I will need around six/seven pages, plus a twitter blog space on the home page and a news ticker. the site should be able to show large photographs possible as backgrounds, and have a screen to show clips and highlights of paste events. A contact form is essentials (with a couple of drop down menus).

Using a smart font - not too basic - would also be preferable, to give it a distinctive look within the market.

Animations - i would like to also be able to show exactly how our services fits in to that of a client by using very simple animations to model our position. This would also allow us to show key facts about how much we save them, what extra value we bring, and examples of past success.

This is NOT a fans site, and will mainly be seen by large organisations and key personnel within it - the design should be contemporary and slick, but offer something that LARGE corporate brands couldn't, maybe extra personality or colour. We are a creative team with financial savvy, so too cool and we we'll alienate corporate clients, too official looking and we appear dull. Challenging!
