Scope

Need a business community web site to be built in phases, specific details of which will be explained in detail at the stage of initial discussion. Each phase is to be taken as a separate job commission, to be done and paid for with subsequent phases being incremental functionality development iterations.

The project is expected to be done in three phases with overall budget weighting as follows:

Phase One - 1 week +/- (20% of total budget)
Initial web design + basic functionality (using Open Source CMS - to be recommended by provider):

1. Info pages etc - (About 10-15 content sections to be loaded & updated internally)
2. Membership of company (or institution or individual) registration & information capture
3. Login for Member community as well as for internal Admin/content management
4. Basic community and collaboration features e.g. forums, bulletin boards, email/chat etc.

Phase Two - 2/3 weeks (30% of total budget)
Secondary phase of actual community database system for members to create individual sections(pages) containing product/service or research offering to showcase their offerings and needs/requirements

Phase 3 - 1-2 months??? (50% of total budget)
More sophisticated logic allowing for various forms of 'matching' between members
Collaboration & 'project' and 'joint venture' tracking & management etc

We have architected a basic structure and sitemap that has been decided and created for your guidance of the overall concept and sections

Requirements:

Phase One
1. Graphic and Aesthetic design concept and execution
2. Proposal and full setup of suitable Open Source CMS platform or your own equivalent engine to provide the services for us to maintain the content and administer the system internally without too much technical know-how.
3. Initial setup and implementation of basic functionality as mentioned in phase one above

Other requirements:

We wish a conservative and elegant style for the design which projects a professional and dignified image. Preliminary draft should deliver a few suggested sample design concepts.

We require the entire work to be in Open Source (php, MySQL primary with AJAX, Javascript etc).

Time-line:

As given above - Phase One About 1 week

Proposal from providers must provide portfolio evidence of previous work.
Upon agreement and commencement, concept, preliminary design draft and structure to be provided within 1-3 days.
Phase one basic site must be ready and implemented in about +/- 1 week.
Subsequent phases will be awarded as separate jobs as per phases 2 & 3 as indicated above.
