The project is to create a Motor Insurance Website for the internet users to submit their particulars online and be able to compare among 20 or so Insurance Company. Example of where we are heading: http://www.gocompare.com/motoring/ http://www.quotezone.co.uk/

The website should have 3 major area; Users Area, Agent/Broker Area and Admin Area.

Users Area:
1) Users key-in their particulars and click submit.
2) An notification sms and/or email to be sent to the users upon submit
3) The information are to be forwarded to all the Insurance Company's online web portal. The web portals are password restricted to the agents, like us.
4) Once the quotations are generated by the Insurance Company, the quotations should be forwarded into our system and the system should generate out a table to list down the price, excess, feature and details etc.
5) Users able to retrieve their insurance quotation from our website.
6) Users able to buy insurance online using credit cards.

Agent/Broker Area:

This area is similar to the users area, but there is a login requirement.

Admin Area:
Here the Admin will be able to have an overview about all requests, create, edit and change all data and administer all things considering the website.

The system should be able to generate reports regarding users, sales, quotes, or agents/broker payment or performance.

The system should store the users information in an database. The system should be able to send yearly reminder to the users and submit quotation proposal on behalf of the users automatically.

The system should be able to generate payment slip for the agents/broker monthly.

If the system can be link to some simple accounting software, it would be great.

Alongside the functions stated above the site needs some more features such as:
- Newsletters
- Blog, Facebook, live chat etc
- Some static sites such as jobs, contact us, About us etc
- SEO optimized link structure, …
